Killington Base Lodges
K-1 Lodge:
The home of the K-1 Express Gondola and you can access all types of terrain from Killington Peak. The K-1 Lodge is the place to start your day to experience more difficult and most difficult terrain with the quickest access to Killington Peak via K-1 Express Gondola, the highest lift in Vermont. The K-1 Lodge is open daily.
Terrain Options:
Green Circle
Access the family-friendly terrain of Ramshead Mountain by taking Great Northern past the bottoms of the K-1 Gondola, the Snowdon Triple and the Snowdon Quad. Or, head directly to Snowshed and its renowned learning terrain by skiing or riding down to the Learn To Ski Area below the bottom of the Superstar Express Quad.
Blue Square
From the top of the K-1 Express Gondola, a scenic run down Great Northern leads to Rime and the North Ridge Triple. Continue on Great Northern for the awesome cruiser runs of Snowdon Mountain (access can also be gained directly from the tops of the Snowdon Quad and Snowdon Triple). The Superstar Express Quad gives more direct access to the Skye Peak and Needle’s Eye area for some long rolling cruisers such as Bittersweet, Needle’s Eye and Cruise Control.
Black Diamond
From the top of the K-1 Express Gondola, you can access the steeps of the Killington Peak, like Downdraft, Cascade and Double Dipper. Or follow Bear Trax to access Skye Peak and Bear Mountain, including Superstar and Outer Limits.

Snowshed Base Lodge:
The best place to start the day for those taking adult lessons or looking for easier terrain. The Season Pass Office is located here, as well as the Killington Sports Ski Shop, Double Diamond Service Center and all Adult Ski School Lessons. If you are staying at Edgemont, Whiffletree, Mountain Green, this is the base lodge that you are closest to. The free shuttle will take you here, as well as all the other base lodges.
Terrain Options:
Green Circle
The Learn To Ski Area, Yodeler and Snowshed Slope are learning areas and gentle cruising runs. For a little adventure, follow Northbrook Trail to Carpenter’s Run to Great Eastern and cruise all the way down to the Skyeship Lodge area.
Blue Square
The cruisers of the Needle’s Eye area are accessible by taking the Snowshed Express Quad and following High Road down to either the Needle’s Eye Express Quad or the second stage of the Skyeship Express Gondola. Or head under the tunnel to Ramshead to ski or ride off the Ramshead Express Quad on Header and Swirl, or take Caper from the top of Ramshead over to Snowdon Mountain to enjoy the great Blue Square terrain there.
Black Diamond
Take any of the lifts out of the Snowshed area and ski or ride Highlander over to the base of the Superstar Express Quad and access the Black Diamond terrain on Skye Peak. Or, continue past the Superstar Express Quad around the K-1 Lodge and ride the K-1 Gondola to Killington Peak to access the steeps of the Canyon area as well as Cascade and Escapade trails.

Adult Ski School and Private Lessons:
All adult group lessons are a Max 5 program. Students will be in groups no larger than five in a Max 5 program. Smaller groups allow our instructors to focus on a personalized learning environment. Reservations are recommended for all lessons. Adult Group Lessons – MAX 5
Ages 16 and older. All group lessons, level 2 and above, are two-hours in length and meet on snow by the green lesson sign in front of the Snowshed Lodge at 9:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. daily.
All private lessons are by reservation only. Stop by the Private Lessons Desk located at Snowshed Lodge or call (800) 923-9444 for reservations. Adult (ages 13 and older) private lessons begin at Snowshed Lodge. Lessons run 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours. Private group lessons also available for up to 5 people.
Adult Learn to Ski and Burton Learn To Ride
Learn to Ski or Burton Learn to Ride packages include equipment, group lesson and limited lift ticket. Adult lessons for ages 19 and older are offered daily at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Please arrive 30 minutes early for ticketing and equipment.

Ramshead Base Lodge:
The place to go for fun and exciting programs designed especially for children and families, as well as for those looking for easier and more difficult terrain. Headquarters for the Ski School Childrens Programs, Friendly Penguin Child Care Center (daycare for ages 12 weeks and up to 12 years), First Tracks Program (skiing for ages 2 and 3), Ministars & Lowriders (4 to 6 years), Superstars (7 to 12 years). Easy Street or Caper to Great Northern are lengthy Green Circle slopes accessible directly from the Ramshead Express Quad.
Blue Square
Ski or ride directly under the Ramshead Express Quad on Header or take Swirl off to the right from the top of the Ramshead Express Quad. Ramshead also offers access to the K-1 Gondola and Snowdon Mountain lifts.
Black Diamond
Head to the top of the Ramshead Express Quad and take Caper to Great Northern and utilize the K-1 Express Gondola to get to Killington Peak. Or head under the tunnel to Snowshed Lodge, take any of the lifts out of the Snowshed area and ski or ride Highlander over to the base of the Superstar Express Quad and access the Black Diamond terrain on Skye Peak.

Skyeship Base Lodge:
The home of the Skyeship Express Gondola, a two-stage gondola with direct access to the Skye Peak.

Green Circle
Experience a long run down Great Eastern to the Skyeship Lodge. To access K-1, Snowshed, or Ramshead Lodges, follow Great Eastern to Northbrook Cross Over and a short ride on the Northbrook Quad lift.
Blue Square
Consider Blue Square trails from the top of the Skyeship Express Gondola including Skyelark, High Road, Bittersweet, Cruise Control or Needle’s Eye.
Black Diamond
A Black Diamond skier or rider can go in any direction from the top of the Skyeship Express Gondola. Check out the skiing or riding down Skye Peak on well-known and loved trails like Superstar, Dream Maker Headwall, Thimble or Vertigo.

Bear Mountain Base Lodge:
The freeride capital of the East with multiple levels of terrain parks and a 430' Superpipe as well as Outer Limits, the steepest, longest mogul trail in the East. When the Skyeship is closed (and your "trailside" property is no longer trailside), this is the closest base lodge if you're staying at Spruce Glen, a trailside private home, or Sunrise Village.

Area Outdoor Activities
Snowmobile Tours:
Experience the thrill of a snowmobile and take in the magnificent scenery, views, and trails. Killington Snowmobile Tours offers tours for all levels and ability. You will be riding new Polaris snowmobiles (with heated handlebars). These are guided tours and you can ride single, double or as a passenger with a guide.
Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing :
The best workout around, Mountain Meadows Cross Country Ski area is the place to go if cross country skiing is your thing. They are located at the bottom of the Access Road, along Rt 4. Cross Country Skiing is also available at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort. Both also accommodate snowshoeing.
Sleigh Rides :
Sleigh rides are available at several spots in and around Killington. We recommend the Mountain Top Inn.
